[B.] CALCAREOUS SPICULES PRESENT Calcareous triacts ( triradiates) or quadriradiates present (may have other spicule types also) [GO TO page 217 ] |
[C.] NO SPICULES - SPONGIN FIBER SKELETON ONLY No spicular skeleton although fibers may contain foreign spicules, sand grains etc. Foreign spicules are usually broken, of improbable combinations such as both calcareous and siliceous spicules together, and/or of low numbers. [GO TO page 235 ] |
