cc001a [A.] SILICEOUS SPICULES PRESENT WITH OR WITHOUT SPONGIN FIBERS

Calcareous triacts ( triradiates) or quadriradiates present (may have other spicule types also)

cc001c [C.] NO SPICULES - SPONGIN FIBER SKELETON ONLY
No spicular skeleton although fibers may contain foreign spicules, sand grains etc. Foreign spicules are usually broken, of improbable combinations such as both calcareous and siliceous spicules together, and/or of low numbers.
